It's been a half year, but I know who are my favorites

I've reviewed an estimate of 50 bands, more or less, but, since I don't want to re-post 50 reviews (mostly because it's not worth, some of those bands aren't good) I'll tell you wich bands are my favorites, and hopefully, they'll become your favorites too.

Maybe you already know the first one: We Came As Romans, an screamo/hardcore band from Detroit, I apreciate them because they were my 2nd review, and they are the #1 of the "unsigned bands to look out for on 2009" on january's AP magazine, when I saw them on AP I was totally shocked and happy, I'll do a review of them for Buzznet's Daily Music Dose someday, I don't have a date, but I already claimed the band. Check their Myspace profile.-Ps. They're now signed to Equal Vision Records.

The second it's a rock pop band called Friends For Hire, they are from Charleston, South Carolina. Right now I'm totally obsessed with one of their songs, Danger Us, it has a weird, funny video, and the song it's really good, the band is really good, well, that's what I think, you have to listen them to find out if you think they are good too. If you liked them, follow them on Twitter! And they have a Buzznet profile, too. Be sure you add them as friends!

Third, The Downtown Fiction, a powerpop band from Fairfax Virginia. This is a sweet-sounded band you should listen, really. My fav. song is "Is Anybody Out There?" but I love them all. Ok here's their Myspace profile link, their Buzznet profile and their Twitter accounts: Cameron, Eric and David. Promise me you'll listen and add them, ok?

Fourth, a really weird ska band called BAMF!. Since No Doubt was "on a break" ska was kinda dead, but this cool band can bring it alive again (Ok, No Doubt can do it now that they're together again, but I had to say something, you know?)

And fifth, Versant. I'm in love with the voice of their vocalist, she is a really good singer.

Maybe you'll think that it had been better if I've posted the reviews, but the truth is that those were some of my first reviews, so, those were bad reviews, good bands, but bad reviews. That's the reason I don't post them.

I will post a review per week from now on, and please, read them and tell me what do you think.

Unsigned bands reviews

I've been reviewing unlabeled bands for like half a year now, and even when I think I'm not good, I'll post some of the reviews I already wrote and the ones I'll do, and I'm asking for your help here; I want to be better at this, and since nobody reads the reviews on my blog, or at least nobody comments them, I would like you to read them here and please, tell me what do you think about the review, the way I write and of course, the band.

Am I asking too much??

And one last thing; I've been looking for a new layout for my blog, but the ones I like, I don't know, I don't think they look professional, or at least serious. This is the current one :

I liked this one:

but I think that pink+aqua+green=way too girly and unprofessional.

What do you think?

Metro Station

Despite those irrelevant facts that we all know (Trace and Mason are brothers of Hanna Montana's stars Miley Cyrus and Mitchell Musso, respectively) and that made us prejudge them at the beggining of their career, Metro Station has demonstrated talent by doing sticky, infectious songs even your grandma sings.

This fresh, electro pop band has showed the world they are good enough to be part of one of the tours with the best line up I've ever seen (the FOB+Blink182+PATD tour is a very tough competitor but since it doesn't happen yet...) the Believers Never Die Part Deux (begging for Part Troix? Me too.); and some of you that have had the chance of seeing them live can agree with me, they're awesome!

You can't deny you have sung one of their songs even if you don't like it. Even my mom and my friends' moms listen Metro Station!!!

The classic, Shake It

Kelsey

And my favorite, Now That We're Done
